Off-grid heating
A meaningful share of the rural CF71 housing stock is off the gas grid. We work with oil-fired boilers (Worcester Bosch Heatslave, Grant Vortex), LPG conversions, and increasingly heat pumps as a route off the oil tank entirely.
The BUS grant matters more here than almost anywhere else we work. Since 21 July 2026 homes heated by oil or LPG get £9,000 towards an air source or ground source heat pump, rather than the £7,500 that mains-gas homes get. Most rural off-grid homes qualify. The higher rate is only confirmed to 31 March 2027, so if you’ve been putting off getting off the oil tank, this is the window to survey it in.
